As you may know, energy is not bound by time or space. It works according to your intention: your energy follows your intention.
This is why a remote reading is exactly like an in-person reading (except for the fact that the two people are not in the same room).
How To Prepare For A Remote Reading (For Querents)
If you are the querent, you should first try to prepare yourself for a remote reading. This is because of a couple of important reasons. First, some level of preparation can help you get more accurate readings and relevant insights. This is true for in-person reading also.

Since you may deal with multiple people on the same day, it is ideal to take some time and clear your mind so that you can focus on the next person.
Also, depending on who you are as a person, you might find in-person readings easier since you might be able to pick up on the energies more quickly and accurately. So, again, by preparing yourself, you’re in a much better position to provide an accurate reading to the querent.
Let’s take a look at how you can do that.
1) Center Yourself
As a reader, you need to be in tune with your energies. And you can do this in several ways. You can meditate, practice mindfulness, do some quick yoga, go for a walk, listen to music, and so on. Obviously, this differs from one person to another. So, you need to figure out what works for you the best.
2) Cleanse The Cards
Again, if you’re a tarot reader, you already know why this is important. Tarot decks can hold onto the energies from previous readings and influence future readings. This can cause inaccuracies and lead to unintended consequences.
So, it’s best to cleanse your tarot cards before every reading. You can do this in several ways. You can burn some sage and waft each card over the smoke. You could put the cards in a sealed bag and run the bag underwater for some time. You could also use powerful crystals to clear any residual energies from the tarot cards.
3) Ask Angels For Guidance
As a tarot reader, you might have learned that spiritual beings can take your reading to a whole other level. If you learn to listen to their subtle messages, you can decipher things that would otherwise be impossible. This is because the angels or ascended masters have access to all the information about the physical world.
So, before any reading, you can pray or ask aloud for help from your guardian spirits. Tell them exactly what you need. - Take a pause and ask higher beings for help. Even if you did this earlier, do it again and be more assertive this time.
- Draw additional cards from the deck. Don’t be hesitant to break the spread if you have to.
- Try to rephrase your queries.
- Ask open-ended questions to the cards instead of yes/no questions.
Then, when the reading is complete, it is a good idea to follow up with each other to talk about the insights that have surfaced.
Can You Ask About A Third Person?
At times, you might be tempted to ask a taro reader questions about your family, friends, colleagues, or neighbors.
